Therapists going to therapy it is a MUST

As someone who works in this field, I can tell you that there's always room for improvement, and healing is a process that happens step by step, with the right help. It’s super important to have trusted people around you – family, friends, and of course, therapy, which is incredibly valuable.

You know the saying, "The cobbler's shoes are full of holes, and the tailor wears torn clothes"?

Well, in mental health, it doesn’t work that way!

For me, therapy is a place where I feel understood, constantly learn new things about myself, and prepare for what lies ahead in life. I’ve been in therapy for almost 8 years, with breaks here and there, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop. It’s my way of showing respect to MYSELF and to my CLIENTS.

I really like the idea that "I need to be #wellwithmyself so I can be #wellwithyou." (Daniela Gavankar)

How could I truly empathise with someone if I haven’t experienced therapy and that therapeutic relationship myself?

Here are a few tips for your mental health:

-Take a break when you feel you need it.

-Go for a walk (it really helps; there are studies that show it reduces anxiety).

-Do things you enjoy and that you’re good at.

-Eat healthy and stay hydrated.

-Don’t hesitate to express yourself. You might find that you’re not alone in what you’re feeling.

-And most importantly: ask for help when you need it.

Take care of yourself!
