"It's too difficult" Cognitive assumptions

When we suffer from anxiety, certain cognitive assumptions or distortions often underlie the anxious thoughts and feelings. These assumptions are typically irrational, exaggerated, or overly negative, and they tend to shape the way we perceive situations, ourselves, and the world around us.

Identifying and challenging these distorted assumptions can be key to managing anxiety effectively.

Ever catch yourself thinking, ‘I can’t afford what I want,’ or ‘I don’t have the time to follow my passion’? Or maybe deep down, you feel, ‘I don’t deserve to have what I truly want.’

These thoughts might be holding you back—and the truth is, they aren’t necessarily true! We assume these limits, but have you ever tested them? You might be surprised at what’s possible when you challenge those assumptions. Sometimes, it takes someone else to point it out for us to realize what’s really holding us back.
