Are you always busy?

Many people find themselves continually busy as a way to cope with stress or avoid confronting deeper emotional issues. For example, someone might throw themselves into work or other activities to distract from the pain of a difficult situation, like a loved one's mental health struggles.

Over time, unresolved trauma or anxiety can build up, leading to burnout or a breaking point.

Anxiety, in particular, can manifest in various ways, such as persistent worry, physical symptoms like headaches or stomach aches, and a sense of impending doom. When these feelings are suppressed through constant busyness, they can become more intense, eventually forcing themselves to the surface.

To truly heal and move forward, facing these underlying issues and seeking help when needed is essential. This might involve talking to a therapist, practising mindfulness, or learning coping strategies to manage anxiety effectively.

Acknowledging and addressing anxiety, rather than burying it under a busy schedule, is a crucial step in the healing process.
